Our school is open from 8.30am - 2.30pm, Monday - Friday throughout term time.

Important Dates

School Training Days (school closed to all students)

  • Friday 24th October 2025 (last day of half term)

Immunisations

If your child is in a relevant cohort you will be contacted in advance with information about upcoming immunisations. On the dates below NHS nurses will be visiting our school to provide immunisations to those who given their consent.

  • Influenza (Flu) Vaccinations 11th November 2025

  • Year 9 DTP, MenACWY and MMR vaccinations - 23rd January 2026 and 12th March 2026

  • Year 8 Human Papillomavirus (HPV) - 18th May 2026 and 19th June 2026

Examinations, Results and Stand Down

  • GCSE exams start from Monday 11th May 2026, the final exam will be 14th June 2026. Students, parents/carers will be informed of individual exam timetables in advance.

  • Year 11 Stand Down - Friday 12th June 2026

  • GCSE Results day Thursday 20th August 2026

Parent and Carer Engagement Days

We value strong, open communication with our parents and carers and encourage you to stay in touch with us throughout the year.

In addition to ongoing communication, we have planned review points to formally discuss progress and next steps. If you would like to arrange a meeting at any time, you are very welcome to do so by contacting our Head of Teaching and Learning at liamhunsdale@ls-ten.org.

  • Parents and Carers are invited to meet with subject leads to discuss progress and support in advance of exams.

Student Reward Trips and Adventure Week

We celebrate student effort, progress and positive engagement through reward trips across the year, offering opportunities to build confidence, strengthen relationships and enjoy new experiences.

At the end of the academic year, our ‘Adventure Week’ provides a range of activities designed to encourage attendance and support a positive transition into the summer break.
