At LS-TEN, the safety and wellbeing of every young person is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a calm, supportive and secure environment where students feel safe, respected and able to thrive.

We recognise that many of our students have experienced challenges, and we take our responsibility to protect and support them seriously. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do, and it underpins our relationships, our teaching, and our school culture.

We take a proactive and structured approach to safeguarding, including:

  • Close partnership working with external agencies

  • A strong culture of vigilance and care

Working with Families and Professionals

Safeguarding is most effective when we work together. We collaborate closely with families and other professionals to help access the right support at the right time:

  • Local authority services

  • Social care

  • Health professionals

  • Other specialist agencies

Lasting impact

Through targeted interventions and universal support throughout school we support students to:

  • Understand how to keep themselves safe

  • Build healthy relationships

  • Develop resilience and confidence

Speaking up and Getting Help

We encourage all students to talk to a trusted adult if they are worried about themselves or someone else. Every concern is taken seriously.

Parents and carers are also encouraged to contact us if they have any concerns—no matter how small they may seem.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact emergency services on 999.
